How We Help The Community
Operation Rudolph
At our pub, we love supporting our local community, and in 2024, we were thrilled to be part of the Operation Rudolph 2025 tasteful calendar project. We sold the calendars here to help raise money for their amazing Christmas Day meal initiative. They work hard to make Christmas special by delivering gift boxes packed with everything needed for a delicious family roast, plus presents for the kids!
We also love getting involved directly—David prepped and cooked the veg, while the meat, kindly supplied by Combe Farm Shop, was roasted to perfection by him. On top of that, we host our own Christmas Day meal, and everyone’s welcome to join us. It’s all about coming together and spreading the festive cheer!

As a pub, we’re so proud to have raised the 3rd highest amount for Macmillan Cancer in the lead-up to the Greene King Pub Partners Summer Ball.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us, whether by joining our quiz nights or making a donation. Together, we contributed an incredible £1,500 towards the event’s total of £50,000 raised for this amazing cause.
