Devon holds a special place in David’s heart! Having called Devon home for his entire life, David has a deep-rooted love for all things Honiton. With an impressive 24-year background in the hospitality industry, David turned his dream of running a pub into reality when he took over Honiton pub, The Heathfield Inn.
David’s passion for Devonian culture and hospitality is evident in every aspect of The Heathfield Inn. Whether it’s the heartfelt greeting extended to each guest, the carefully chosen cozy decor, or the vibrant atmosphere throughout the bar, restaurant, and hotel.

Discover our expansive event space available for hire, ideal for a variety of functions and gatherings. Accommodating up to 40 seated or 70 standing individuals, the room boasts a spacious layout. Upon request, we can enhance the ambiance with soft furnishings.
Our cosy function room is an ideal private space for: wedding receptions, parties, christenings, funerals, work meetings, conferences, corporate gatherings and sports activities such as skittles, cards, chess and board games clubs.
A projector is available for storytelling or video presentations. Elevate your event experience in our versatile venue.
Dog Friendly Pub
We LOVE dogs and love it when your four legged friends visit. They’re guaranteed a fuss and a treat. We can offer them fresh water and treats are available at the bar.
All we ask is that you keep your pooch on a lead at all times.
Cosy Woodburners
Nothing beats a roaring fire, and we have two woodburners, perfectly for seating with a hot chocolate in front of in the winter months.
We’re so pleased to have reinstated them after years of unuse.
